Emergence: The Summit was a major arts and sustainability presented by Volcano Theatre and the Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) Sept 1-9th. The Summit began with a 5 day Land Journey on foot curated and designed by artist Simon Whitehead, converging on CAT's beautiful site in Machynlleth, Wales.

The Summit was designed to reflect symbolically the imaginative leap required to envision a sustainable future.
I worked with Fern Smith, Paul Allen and Jenny McKewn for a year and facilitated the Northern Route of the Land Journey, a 100km walk across an incredible mountain landscape.
Here's Pete Telfer and Dan Gifford's fantastic film Walking To The Summit

Emergence commissioned many artists. Amongst them, Sarah Woods and Richard Gott's Roadless Trip.
Here is Fern Thomas and Owen Griffiths Store For Future
And this is a film Making Being Doing made by a young delegate, Cedoux on the spot!

And this is Rev Eli Jenkins' poem that kept me going on the long walk:

'By Cader Idris, tempest-torn,
Or Moel y Wyddfa’s glory,
Carnedd Llewelyn beauty born,
Plinlimmon old in story'
